Concrete mixer maintenance and use matters needing attention

Cleaning concrete tanks (mixer drums) and inlet and outlet openings Because the concrete will solidify into hard blocks in a short time and have certain corrosivity to steel and paint, each time the concrete tank is used, it is washed and adhered to the concrete storage tank. The concrete on the tank and inlet and outlet is the work that must be carried out carefully for daily maintenance.

These include:
a. Rinse the feed inlet with water before each charge to keep the feed inlet wet while charging;
b. Fill the cleaning water tank that comes with the vehicle while loading;
c. Rinse the feed inlet after filling and clean the remaining concrete near the feed inlet.
d. After unloading at the construction site, rinse the discharge chute and add 30 to 40L of cleaning water to the concrete storage tank to keep the concrete tank rotating at a slow speed during the return journey;
e. Remember to drain the concrete tank before loading the next time;
f. Thoroughly clean the concrete tanks and the inlet and outlet ports around the end of the day to ensure that cement and concrete are not stuck.
If these tasks are not carried out carefully once, they will cause great trouble for future work.

Precautions for Use 1. The pressure of the hydraulic system shall comply with the provisions in the instruction manual and shall not be arbitrarily adjusted. The oil quality and quantity of hydraulic oil should meet the original requirements.
2. Before the concrete mixer is loaded, the remaining water and debris in the mixing container should be drained. During the transportation, it should be kept turning to prevent the concrete from segregating. Before the concrete mixer truck arrives at the site and unloads, it should first make the mixing drum rotate at 14-18 rpm for 1-2 minutes, and then reverse unloading. Before reversing, the mixer should be stopped without turning.
3. The ambient temperature is higher than +25 degrees Celsius. The duration of time from loading, transporting, and unloading shall not exceed 60 minutes. The ambient temperature shall be less than +25 degrees Celsius. The above time shall not exceed 90 minutes.
4. During winter construction, it should be ensured that: Check whether ice is formed before starting the machine; Carefully exclude residual water in the mixing bowl and the water supply system, turn off the water pump switch, and place the control handle in the “stop” position.
5. After the unloading at the construction site is completed, the hoppers, hoppers, unloading chutes, etc., shall be flushed with the hose provided with the mixer immediately to remove the sludge and concrete adhering to the vehicle body. On the way back to the mixing station, 150-200L of water should be injected into the mixing drum to clean the concrete residue on the wall and the blades.
6. After the end of each day's work, the driver shall be responsible for injecting fresh water into the mixing drum and rotating it at a high speed (14-18 rpm) for 5-10 minutes, and then drain the water to ensure that the drum is clean. When using high-pressure water to clean all parts of the mixer, care should be taken to avoid parts such as instruments and joysticks. The distance between the pressure water nozzle and the body paint surface must not be less than 40 cm.
7. When clearing the inside and outside of the mixing drum and the residual concrete slag pieces, and when the mechanics enter the drum for inspection and welding repair work, the vehicle engine must be shut down to stop the mixer drum completely from turning. During the work of the mechanics entering the cylinder, it must be ensured that the inside of the mixing cylinder is well ventilated, the air is fresh, there is no natural gas and no harmful dust, and the oxygen supply is sufficient (no pure oxygen must be used). The operator must have good insulation protection when operating in the barrel using a power tool.
8. When working, do not put your hand into the rotating mixing drum. Never stick your hand into the main discharge chute and lengthen the connecting part of the discharge chute to avoid accidents.
9. Check the wear condition of the mixing blades regularly and repair and renew them in time.
10. Implement all relevant safety practices. Concrete mixer truck drivers must undergo professional training.
