12V Deep Cycle VRLA AGM Battery
The VRLA Battery is regulated lead-acid battery (valve-regulated lead-acid battery). It is rechargeable based on the AGM(liquid absorbing fiberglass) technology or GEL electrolyte and can be installed in any direction. With superior high current discharge characteristics and long service life. It is used without adding water. VRLA batteries are versatile and can be used in power tools, emergency lights, UPS, power wheelchairs, computers and communications equipment.
Main features: secure seal; During normal operation, the electrolyte will not leak out of the battery terminal or housing; There is no free acid special suction separator to keep the acid inside, there is no free acid inside the battery, so the battery can be placed in any position; Deflating system, when the battery pressure exceeds the normal level, VRLA battery will release excess gas and automatically reseal to ensure that there is no excess gas in the battery; Maintenance is simple, because the unique gas recombination system enables the generated gas to be converted into water, no water is required during the use of VRLA batteries; Long service life.
The same oxygen recombination principle is applied, but because of different fixed electrolyte technology and different oxygen recombination channel technology, VRLA batteries can be divided into two categories, namely AGM technology and GEL technology (colloid), so they are also called AGM batteries and colloid batteries. These two types of batteries have their own advantages and disadvantages. At present, AGM batteries are still used mainly in the market of telecommunications and electric power.
For VRLA batteries using AGM technology, the AGM separator adopts U-shaped coating method (or S-shaped coating method can be used). The characteristics of VRLA batteries using AGM technology are as follows: small internal resistance, and the ultrafine glass wool separator absorbs the electrolyte, so that there is no electrolyte in the battery. The AGM separator has a porosity of more than 93%, and about 10% of the pores are used as the channel for O2 to recompound from the positive electrode to the negative electrode, so as to realize oxygen circulation and achieve the purpose of battery sealing.
