GM's sales in China increased 56% year-on-year in September

In the first three quarters of 2009, General Motors and its joint ventures in China achieved sales of approximately 1.29 million units, an increase of 55.6% year-on-year.

According to data released by General Motors on October 9, in the first three quarters, Shanghai GM sold a total of 480,000 vehicles, an increase of 40% year-on-year; SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 800,000 vehicles, an increase of 64.5% year-on-year. Among them, GM’s sales of cars in China in September increased by 107% to 181,148. FAW-GM Light Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., which was established on August 30 this year, also sold 8,780 light trucks and trucks in September.

General Manager Gan Wenwei, president and general manager of General Motors China, said in an announcement that the main reason for the increase in sales was that the company launched several new models that were recognized by consumers.

Among them, the Chevrolet Cruze sedan has been listed for 6 months and has sold 48,000 units; Buick New Regal has sold 64,000 units since its launch at the end of last year. Gan Wenwei said that almost all market segments are growing this year, and this year's major market drivers come from first-time car buyers in second-, third-, and fourth-tier cities in China.

This market performance of General Motors is also related to the purchase tax halving policy and the “automobile going to the countryside” policy that China began to implement at the beginning of the year.

According to the statistics of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, spurred by a half-purchase policy on purchase tax and the policy of “automobiles going to the countryside”, in the first eight months of 2009, China’s auto sales exceeded 8.33 million, an increase of nearly 30% year-on-year.

At present, General Motors has three joint ventures in China, namely Shanghai General Motors and SAIC-GM-Wuling, joint ventures with SAIC, and FAW-GM Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., a joint venture with FAW Group.

Self-Shielded Flux Cored Wires

Self-Shielded Flux Cored Wires:

The self-shielded Flux Cored Wire protects the molten droplet and molten pool through the gas and slag produced by the slag-forming agent and gas-generating agent in the flux core of the welding wire under the high temperature of the arc.

The self-shielded flux-cored arc welding method has the following advantages:
1. No external protective gas source is needed, the welding torch is simple in structure, light in weight, and easy to operate;
2. The performance of wind resistance and porosity is good. During welding, the metallurgical reaction of the welding wire itself forms a protective atmosphere. It can be welded under the fourth-level wind force. As long as the wind speed does not exceed 8m/s, no protective measures need to be taken. It is especially suitable for Field construction work;
3. The arc penetrating power should be large, the molten drop should be in the form of jet transition, and the splash should be small;
4. It has excellent all-position vertical down welding operation process performance, and the operation process performance is good;
5. Good slag removal performance;
6. The deposited metal can also obtain high low temperature toughness under various harsh conditions such as low temperature and strong wind.
