Bosch plans to invest 400 million U.S. dollars in India for two years

The Bosch Group has stated that it will invest 22 billion rupees (about 400 million U.S. dollars) in India for the two years of 2012-2013 for technology research and development as well as the construction of new expansion plants.

Bosch plans to build a new factory in Chennai, India. The new plant is expected to be operational in 2012. In addition, Bosch plans for the expansion of the Nashik, Jaipur and Ahmedabad factories in India.

To study the software development system required for the electronic control unit, Bosch will recruit 800 engineers in Bangalore, India and Coimbatore. Bosch currently has 13 factories and 4 R&D centers in India.

Bosch currently employs 25,000 people in India as part of its expansion plan in India. By the end of 2013, Bosch India will have 32,000 employees.
