On December 30, 2016, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Notice on Adjusting the Financial Subsidy Policy for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles, which stipulates local financial subsidies (the sum of local financial subsidies at all levels). It shall not exceed 50% of the central government bicycle subsidy and will be implemented on January 1, 2017.
Although there is already a “no more than 50% of the central government bicycle subsidy”, due to the lack of local policies, since January, most new energy dealers have been affected to a certain extent.
However, for the follow-up development, there is a view in the industry that, in the initial stage of subsidies, whether new energy vehicle companies are willing to provide more subsidies, but also need to look at the car enterprise response strategy and the development of the new energy market, to be further observed.
