Changan Automobile announced that in order to meet the country's new emission regulations and energy-saving policy requirements and improve the technical level and industrial capabilities of Changan’s small-displacement engine R&D and manufacturing methods, the company plans to implement a small-displacement industrial upgrading project at the fishbill base in the eastern New District of Chongqing Municipality. .
The project will add CC series engines overall production capacity of 120,000 units / year, the new CB series engines overall production capacity of 300,000 units / year. The new construction investment for the project is 2.08 billion yuan. It is planned to complete the construction in June 2012.
Changan Automobile also disclosed that the company plans to implement the transformation project of the B301 economy car production line at the Oubei Automobile Manufacturing Plant. The technical renovation project construction program is 30,000 vehicles/year and the maximum production capacity can reach 50,000 vehicles/year. The investment in project construction is 116 million yuan. It is planned to complete the construction in June 2010.
