China and Pakistan Earth Resources Satellite 04 stars successfully launched at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center on December 7. On the 8th, the first full-time imaging of the 04-star 5-meter full-color/10-meter multispectral camera, the 20-meter multispectral camera, and the infrared multispectral camera. The Chinese Academy of Sciences Earth Observation Center Miyun receiving station and Kashi receiving station successfully completed data reception. China Resources Satellite Application Center completed the production of standard products and formed the first image map.
In the future, the two countries will continue to cooperate in the development of the 04A star, which is expected to be launched around 2017. Based on the cooperation of the 04 star data, remote sensing satellite image processing, quality assessment and cross calibration will be carried out, and the two sides will actively promote data distribution in high-resolution remote sensing satellites. Ground cooperation in the areas of reception and processing; promote cooperation between the two countries in disaster prevention, disaster reduction, and land and resources applications.
The relevant person in charge of the National Space Agency stated that China and Pakistan will actively explore space science, launch services and monitoring support, single-satellite products, aerospace-grade components and materials, AIT equipment, and ground facilities under the framework of the 10-year cooperation plan. And technical cooperation in the field of ground systems.
The 04 Star was jointly developed by the Institute of Space Technology under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and the Brazilian Academy of Space Technology. Compared to China and Brazil’s Earth Resources Satellites 01, 02, and 04, the 04 star has improved spatial resolution, increased the number of sensors and spectral segments, and acquired various image maps such as 5 m full-color and 10 m multi-spectrum.
