**Clean the Drive**

This will help remove any sticks, stones, or debris that might be stuck in the chain. Rotate the chain while gently spraying to clear out sand and grime from between the links.
Once the big stuff is gone, it’s time to focus on the finer details. Fill a bucket with hot water and add a few drops of dish soap. Once the chain is free of grit, make sure it's completely dry. You can use compressed air to blow out any remaining moisture, or simply leave the bike to air dry while you take a break and grab a drink.
After the chain is dry, apply a thin layer of lubricant using a drip cap. Make sure the lube penetrates each link by spinning the cranks. Wipe off any excess with a clean rag while rotating the chain backward to ensure even coverage.
**Clean the Bike Frame and Wheels**
With the drivetrain cleaned and lubed, take a damp cloth and wipe down the frame and wheels to remove any remaining dirt. Follow up with a dry towel to eliminate any residue.
