Continental invested 36 million Singapore dollars (28.94 million US dollars) to build a new research center. The research center covers an area of ​​10,170 square meters and employs 650 employees. They are from the Continental Tyre Division, the ContiTech Division and the Interiors Division.
Helmut Matschi, executive director of the Continental Group and president of the interior division, said: “Our sales in the Asian market already account for 19% of global sales. We expect this ratio to increase next year. We are in Singapore. The expansion plan will facilitate the further cooperation between Continental Group and Asian auto companies and implement the Group's business growth plan."
