Recently, the gas blower of the coking project in the Xingang District of Handan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has successfully completed testing and passed the acceptance inspection. This critical piece of equipment is essential for the official commissioning of the entire coking project. The new coking project at the Handan Iron and Steel New Zone features two large coke ovens, with a total investment of 1.95 billion yuan and an annual production capacity of 2.2 million tons of coke. The project utilizes an advanced coke oven designed by MCC Jiaoli Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. It incorporates key systems such as coal preparation, sieve coke processing, and gas purification. For the first time in local process design, the project integrates several cutting-edge technologies, including coal storage bin storage, dry coke handling, vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization, and WSA concentrated sulfuric acid processes. These innovations reflect the latest advancements in metallurgical engineering both domestically and internationally. The project's equipment standards and core performance indicators have reached world-class levels, fully meeting the requirements of national circular economy and green manufacturing initiatives.
