Founded in 1956 through public-private partnerships across five factories, Tian Pump once ranked among the "Top 500 Machinery Industrial Enterprises in the Country." The company's early achievements include the development of China’s first-generation screw pump and marine centrifugal pump, breaking foreign monopolies and laying the foundation for the domestic screw pump industry. In the 1980s and 1990s, Tian Pump introduced advanced technologies from Germany and Japan, including single and twin screw pumps, as well as centrifugal and gear pumps. Through digestion, absorption, and re-innovation, the company tailored these technologies to China’s needs, creating more than 130 series of screw pumps and over 600 varieties of pumps with more than 4,000 specifications. To support its growth, Tian Pump invested nearly 100 million yuan in large-scale technological upgrades, acquiring world-class CNC machines and testing equipment. This has enabled the company to handle complex processes and establish large-scale production capacity, with processing capabilities ranging from 10mm to 630mm in diameter and up to 6,000mm in length. Today, over 100 companies manufacture screw pumps in China, but most operate at the lower end of the market. Global giants like Colfax and Baumann have entered the Chinese market, intensifying competition. However, Tian Pump stands out with its high-quality, multi-species product portfolio, becoming a preferred choice for national defense and major infrastructure projects. The company has earned recognition from the State Council, the Central Military Commission, and the Tianjin Municipal Government, and was awarded the “National May 1st Labour Award.” Despite its achievements, Tian Pump remains focused on continuous improvement, driven by reform and cultural development.
