How to determine the height of the middle section

Regardless of the method used to develop the deposit, the main roadway is connected to the ore body through the middle section of the stone gate, which raises the stage height problem. When choosing the mid-range height, the following factors should be considered:

1. Type of ore body exploration

The type of exploration refers to the complex procedure of the continuity of the ore body along the strike and inclination and the thickness of the ore body. In general, the higher the type of exploration, the more continuous the ore body and the more stable the production, the higher the height of the middle section. Because the mine level requirement is determined by its corresponding engineering network (such as the recent construction of the infrastructure), the height of the middle section should be considered in consideration of the mine grade network. For those ore bodies with discontinuous or discontinuous ore body branches and complex thickness changes, the height of the middle section must be lower. Otherwise, the following consequences will be caused by the inaccurate control of the ore body due to ore control or mining engineering:

(1) In the mining, the ore body suddenly disappeared, and the reserve amount was reduced compared with the expected amount, which caused the mining work to stop in the middle, thus affecting the mining or ore supply capacity, thus affecting production. At the same time, as the mining and cutting of the entire mine service has been invested, the reduction in the reserve volume has increased the mining cut ratio, thereby increasing the cost of the ore.

(2) During the mining process, the ore body suddenly becomes thinner (for example, the thickness is less than 0.8m), while the upper middle section controls a de facto reserve quantity, so it is necessary to continue mining. To ensure reasonable mining, the ore is caused. a large number of poor, lower ore grade, increasing the cost of the metal.

(3) During the mining process, it was found that the local dip angle of the ore body suddenly changed, so that the original bottom funnel could not bear the changed ore body condition, forcing the mining work to stop. As shown in Figure 7-21, the original design retains the ore method, and the lower part uses a double funnel. However, the upper ore body suddenly becomes slower and wider, and remedial measures must be taken. That is, another mining project is set up, and the funnel is added, and then the recovery is carried out. However, the ore body becomes too thick, and even if another mining project is installed, the exposed area of ​​the stope will increase or exceed the allowable range, which will bring unsafe factors to the mining work.

For ore-type ore bodies, the middle section is too high, which may cause some of the middle-level blind ore bodies to be missed, thus discarding the resources that should have been used.

2. Ore body thickness and inclination

If the mining method is selected because the ore body is thin and the inclination angle is relatively slow (such as 30o ~ 40o), then the down-slope mine erected according to the angle of the ore body will not reach the purpose of slipping. If the inclination of the smoothing mine is increased, the upper or lower part of the shovel can only meet the requirements when the ore body is discharged to the upper or lower plate. Generally speaking, when the ore body is above medium and the ore body inclination angle is above the medium inclination, the high middle section (35 to 45 m) can be used. If the ore body is discontinuous, the branching compound is more, the ore body thickness is smaller, and the inclination angle is slower, the low middle section (25-30 m) is usually adopted.
