The review experts believe that this project has filled the gap in the application of electron beam precuring devices in China's all-steel radial tires, and the technology has reached the leading domestic and international advanced level.

According to reports, EB pre-vulcanization technology has been widely used in the foreign tire industry, and is one of the core technologies for the green production of radial tires. This technology uses the high-energy electron beam excited by the EB precuring device to act on the tire components, thereby activating the rubber macromolecules in the rubber compound and generating the free radicals of the rubber macromolecules, which further causes the CC bond cross-linking between rubber macromolecules to form a three-dimensional network. Structure to achieve the purpose of improving the physical and mechanical properties of tire components.
However, the EB pre-vulcanization technology has long been monopolized by foreign companies, and equipment procurement and operating costs are extremely high. Foreign companies have also adopted confidential measures for domestic tire companies, resulting in the EB pre-vulcanization process being difficult to use in domestic tire companies and generating benefits. The lack of EB pre-sulfurization technology has limited the technological upgrading and industrial development of the domestic tire manufacturing industry.
Wuhan Jiurui Electric Co., Ltd., after years of independent research and development, combined with the production status of domestic tire companies, has developed a new generation of domestic EB pre-vulcanization devices with complete independent intellectual property rights. In 2013, the domestic EB precuring device was successfully applied in the semi-steel radial tire production line. In 2014, they also cooperated with Shuangqin Group to carry out research on EB pre-vulcanization application technology in the field of all-steel radial tire manufacturing and achieved success. In the actual production process, after multiple batches and long-term operation tests, the performance of the EB precuring device is better than that of similar foreign devices. The tire product testing data are all better than the national standards, and the key performance indicators have improved by more than 30%, far exceeding expectations. aims.
It is reported that nearly 40 domestic tire manufacturing enterprises participated in the meeting, and they showed great interest in the application and promotion of EB pre-vulcanization technology.
