Under the guidance of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", Xichai Science and Technology personnel fully promoted product development, focusing on accelerating the serialization of the development of China IV products, coordinating with the FAW Technology Center to fully initiate the series development of the FEUP project, and accelerating the serial development of natural gas engines. Steady progress was made in the development of car projects and significant progress was made.
In 2011, the development of the Xichai IV platform product was rapidly advanced. At present, basic types of CA4/6DF4, CA4DL1E4, CA6DL2E4, CA4DLDE4, and CA6DLE4 diesel engines have been distributed in batches to complete small batches of drawings and can be put into trial production in small batches. The CA6DM2E4 and CA6DN1E4 diesel engines passed the endurance test for 2000 hours; the new prototype of the 4DX23-140E4 diesel engine completed the trial production and the ignition was successful; the 4DW93-84E4 diesel engine completed the development of performance and reliability, and the first announcement of prototype testing was successful. The national IV series supporting work has been fully promoted in both the main and external markets, among which the CA6DL1E4 and CA6DL2E4 diesel engines have achieved small-batch matching.
Xichai started the FEUP project development. Under the unified layout of FAW Technology Center, Xichai actively cooperates with the development work and has initially built a number of product platforms for W, X, F, L, and M. Has completed the CA6DL1U1, CA6DL2U1 prototype development and status confirmation; CA4DF4U1, 4DW, CA6DM2U2 prototype overall layout and the first round of special parts design.
Natural gas engines have blossomed and become a major highlight of Xichai in the first half of the year. With the unremitting efforts of the R&D personnel, the development of the two major systems of LNG and CNG at Xichai was fully promoted, and the four platforms of F, L, M, and N have been successfully built. Among them, CA6SF2 and CA6SL1 products have begun batch production; CA6SL2 has completed two rounds of reliability development; CA6SN1 has completed prototype development. Under the situation of blocking the New Deal and saving energy and reducing emissions, the new single-energy buses (CNG, LNG) have continued to make big orders throughout the country. Xichai's natural gas engines have become a hot spot in bus procurement projects. At present, 600 production and sales have been exceeded.
In 2011, Xichai also completed trial production and resonance analysis tests of the preliminary prototype of the M01 project of FAW Group Corporation, 1,500-hour double-over test, and 600-hour fuel system cavitation test, completing the construction and preliminary performance of the first 4DL1-26E5H diesel-electric hybrid prototype. Calibration and so on have formed a good situation in which all aspects of development, including multi-platform and multi-system development, are comprehensively promoted.
