As China's first nitrile rubber Sino-foreign joint venture project, the joint venture nitrile rubber project of Jiangsu Jinpu Group and Mexico KUO Group was signed and settled in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park on September 22nd.
Gimpo Group and ISA Group, a subsidiary of KUO Group, each hold 50% of the equity of the joint venture company. The planned production capacity of the project is 60,000 tons/year, and the total investment is about 110 million US dollars. It is planned to be constructed in two phases. The first phase is 30,000 tons/year and it will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2013.
Nitrile rubber has good oil resistance and wear resistance, and can be used for oil-resistant rubber products, various oil-resistant gaskets, gaskets, and casings. It is widely used in automobiles, buildings, and shoe materials. The annual demand for domestic nitrile rubber is about 200,000 tons. It is forecasted that the annual growth rate of consumption in the next few years will reach 7.6%. At present, the domestic production capacity is insufficient. After the project is put into production, it will ease the contradiction between supply and demand.
KUO Group is a large-scale industrial conglomerate in Mexico. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of KUO Group, IESO is specialized in the production of nitrile rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber. It is the only producer of synthetic rubber in Latin America and the second largest in Latin America. The project will be provided by Insaza Corporation with production technology. The products produced are not only more abundant than similar domestic companies, but also have a significant increase in product quality.
