At Delfast, we always listen to our customers. Over 70% of them live in the United States, and their feedback has shaped many of our designs. That’s how we created the Top 2.0, a powerful electric bike that can handle rough terrain and long distances. But even this model had its limits — it was more of a light enduro than a true off-road machine.

That’s when we realized something was missing. Our customers are spread across all kinds of environments — from snowy mountains to deserts and coastal areas. We needed a bike that could thrive outside the city, not just sit in a garage during winter. After extensive research, we settled on a fat bike design, known for its incredible versatility on snow, sand, and ice. These bikes are like SUVs for two wheels, capable of taking you where traditional bikes can’t.

So, we set out to build the Delfast Offroad TOP 3.0 — an electric fat bike that combines power, range, and durability. It wasn’t easy. The Top 2.0 platform is already incredibly strong, but adding off-road capabilities meant rethinking everything. We had to consider suspension, tire pressure, and how the bike would perform on uneven surfaces. The goal was to make it as versatile as possible without sacrificing performance.

One of the biggest challenges was the suspension system. Initially, we tried a high-end Rockshox Bulto fork, but it didn’t offer much advantage over our custom rubber solution. In fact, the rubber alone provided enough shock absorption in most conditions, while the fork only added weight. So, we went with a reinforced rubber setup that handles heavy loads better than standard bike tires.

While these changes reduced top speed and range slightly compared to the Top 2.0, they made the bike far more capable in extreme conditions. The Delfast Offroad now excels on loose soil, snow, and even sand. Plus, it can carry more weight, making it ideal for adventures with gear or even for hauling small loads.

As you can see, the Delfast Offroad isn’t just about power — it's about adaptability. Whether you're riding on a frozen lake, through a desert, or along a beach, this bike is built to go where others can't. And while it may not match the strength of an M1 Abrams tank, it certainly offers a unique kind of ruggedness — one that’s perfect for real-world adventures.
