Auto show enabled electronic ticket system to be exhibited from June 10th to 16th
(Reporter Zhang Lidong and Xue Yan) Yesterday, organizers of the 2004 Beijing International Auto Show held a press conference to officially announce that the event will take place from June 10th to June 16th at the China International Exhibition Center and the National Agricultural Exhibition Hall. Over 1,400 major car manufacturers and parts suppliers are expected to participate, showcasing their latest models and innovations across an exhibition area of nearly 110,000 square meters.
This year’s show introduces a brand-new electronic ticketing system, which offers online reservations, e-ticket issuance, and digital check-in for visitors. The system allows attendees to skip long lines and book tickets directly through the internet. Additionally, it features a smart card recognition function, enabling entry and exit with a speed of up to 16 people per minute, significantly easing the pressure on the main entrance.
To further enhance visitor experience, the auto show has also introduced SMS-based booking and guided tour services. Local viewers can send a text message with “reservation†or “D†(for guide service) to 087007 (for mobile users) or 99227 (for China Unicom users) to book tickets or get information about exhibitors and locations.
In addition, a free shuttle bus service will be provided between the two exhibition venues. According to Chen Nuowei, vice president of the China International Exhibition Group, the shuttle will consist of small buses accommodating around 20 passengers each, with 30 to 50 vehicles operating throughout the event. Buses will depart whenever they are full, ensuring convenient transportation for all attendees.
