CSMC Mitsui received the first domestic 7G80ME-C9.2 mainframe order

On March 20th, Shanghai Shipbuilding Corporation's two key enterprises, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and China Shipbuilding Mitsui Shipbuilding Diesel Engine Co., Ltd., again signed the first domestic MDT 7G80ME-C9.2 marine low-speed diesel engine. Supply contract. It is reported that the technical indicators of energy saving and emission reduction of this model are among the most advanced in the world, and will become the preferred power equipment for supporting 300,000 tons of super-large oil tankers (VLCC) in the future. Li Zhushi, executive vice president of China Shipbuilding Industry Association, and Wu Qiang, deputy general manager of CSSC, attended the signing ceremony.
It is understood that the MDT G80ME-C9.2 is the latest generation of "green" ultra-long-stroke low-speed diesel engine developed by MAN Diesel & Turbo based on the Mark9 design platform, with a maximum power of 42,364 hp (31,150 kW). This model has obvious advantages in energy saving and environmental protection indicators such as fuel consumption, gas emission, energy consumption, etc. Taking 7G80MEC MK9.2 machine as an example, when applied to 319,000 DWT VLCC, the host efficiency is compared with the original model. It can be improved by about 1%. Through propeller optimization and other technical optimization measures, the propeller efficiency can be increased by about 3.6%. Under the condition of maintaining the same speed, the overall operating cost of the ship can be reduced by about 4.6%; Tier II emission requirements, the ship's energy efficiency design index (EEDI) can be reduced by about 8.2%.
As of this signing, CSSC Mitsui and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (including Changxing Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.) have cooperated with a total of 106 main engines and 3.06 million horsepower. With Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. becoming the “China's No.1 Shipyard”, CSIC Mitsui has also developed into a leading force in the field of China's super-large bore diesel engine manufacturing. Since its establishment in 2006, it has delivered a total of 152 low-speed marine engines with a total power of 536. Wanma Li makes the brand of CSSC Mitsui successful in the world low-speed diesel engine market.

Intake & Exhaust Manifold Gaskets

Intake & Exhaust Manifold Gaskets are made of plastic, rubber, Metal, Composite Material; they keep the engine intake & exhaust system safely and efficiently.

Intake manifold gasket is a flexible, fitted part of engine that helps prevent air from leaking out during fuel combustion and help the regulate chamber temperature.

The intake manifold gasket fits between intake pipe and cylinder heads, and its main purpose is to reduce the chance of air leaking out, which can hurt the car`s efficiency.
People who have weak or faulty intake manifold gaskets may notice their engines sputtering out or stalling more frequently.

The exhaust manifold gasket is more likely renewing than the intake manifold gasket, because the exhaust system heat caused more damage.

Modern exhaust manifold gaskets are made of beaded multilayer steel (MLS). These metal beads are always reinforced with metal sheets to resist the component movement that arises from large fluctuations in temperature. The sheet layers number is depends on distortion of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head components.

Exhaust manifold gasket leak can cause bad exhaust values, loss of power and increase the fuel consumptions.
