In the mid-market segmentation task, Ford plans to focus on the mid-end mid-range market for the classic Fox, and the new Focus will focus on the high-end market for mid-size cars.

Previously, Ford has been single-handedly restrained by the product line. In 2011, the sales volume of mid-size cars in the Chinese market was 5 million, of which mid-end car sales accounted for 37% of the total, and mid-range cars accounted for 34% of sales in the high-end market. Luo Minggang said that the "Double Car Strategy" plan has doubled its sales on this basis.

Asked if Ford’s “Double Car Strategy” took the old strategy of adopting price and new quality, Luo Minggang said that after entering the Chinese market in 2005, Classic Fox has undergone several years of market experience and its price has already been booked. The price range is competitive, so it will not cut prices.

Luo Minggang also said that the existing users of the classic Fox, if you want to replace the new Fox, use the policy of used cars. The customer can take the existing car to the dealer. After the dealer evaluates it, replace the new one. Ford China will provide a full range of services to the intended customers who replace the Classic Fox with the new Fox, including credit support.

Luo Minggang said that Ford’s new model to be put into production this year is not just New Fox, but there are also new follow-up models, and there is more than one. Ford will introduce 15 models out of 15×15 to the Chinese market at a pace of four to five vehicles per year before 2015. He pointed out that most of the 15 vehicles were produced at Changan Ford. He also stressed that the regular annual models are normally introduced and are not included in the 15×15 plan. He said that the 15 models referred to in the 15×15 plan are new platform models. He told the China Economic Times that the 15 new models, including C-class vehicles, will be a full-spectrum product line that covers all market segments as well as mid-to-high grades within each level. From the standpoint of passenger cars, this pedigree will include cars, SUVs, and MPVs that are commonly referred to.

Luo Minggang stated that products are the basis for the development of enterprises and creating a full spectrum product line is to adapt to the needs of consumers and market trends. In addition, the expansion of its production capacity is also accelerating. On February 24, the Chongqing No. 2 Plant, with a total investment of approximately RMB 3.34 billion and an area of ​​1 million square meters, was officially put into operation. At present, the plant has an annual production capacity of 150,000 units and is expected to reach 350,000 vehicles in the future. Its current production capacity enables Ford’s passenger vehicle production capacity in China to increase by one-third, and exceeds its annual production capacity of 600,000 vehicles. Changan Ford dealer network in China is also accelerating the layout.
