Screw pump installation method

1. The clearance between the installation chute of the spiral pump chute (pump housing) and the blades of the pump has a great influence on the efficiency of the pump. Therefore, the installation accuracy is very high. The trough can be constructed using prefabricated concrete blocks. The practice is to prefabricate the chute to 1m long blocks, place it on the basis of the chute, install the screw pump, adjust the gap between the block and the pump block by block, and finally fill and fix the block. The groove of the prefabricated block is slightly larger than the screw diameter. After the screw pump is in place, slowly turn the screw and scrape the excess mortar out of the groove. After the spiral blade is removed, the powder level is maintained. After the mortar is solidified, the pump casing of the screw pump is naturally formed. When special requirements are required, steel chutes can also be used. It is advisable to maintain a clearance of about 1 mm between the blade and the pump casing.

2. Because of the low speed of the screw pump, the motor can not be directly driven by the motor, so deceleration measures must be taken. When designing the transmission components, the space problem of single or multiple side-by-side arrangements should be considered.

Single desk layout. The entire pump is on an axis and the motor is directly attached to the gearbox with a flange. Its feature is compact structure, small footprint, but this connection method, reduction gear is relatively large. The motor is connected to the gearbox via a V-belt. This arrangement will increase the length of the motor room. If several pumps are arranged side by side, the floor space is large.

The motor is installed above the gear box and connected by a V-belt in the middle. The arrangement is compact and it is suitable for occasions with a large number of pump units.

A common feature of the above three arrangements is that the gear box and the motor must be placed at a slant, so that the gears in the gear box can not be completely immersed in the oil, the motor bearings are also easy to wear, and the installation concentricity requirements are high. For this reason, it is also possible to adopt a method of changing the angles of the upper and lower bearing housings and the reduction gear box so that the reduction gear box and the electric motor both maintain the horizontal position.

Under normal circumstances, the motor and the gear box are driven by a V-belt, because in this way, in addition to making the gears smaller, they can be flexibly arranged, which is also conducive to starting and lifting solid objects.
