ExxonMobil Injects 200 Million Expansion Plant

ExxonMobil Petroleum recently launched a $200 million project. The two-year project aims to expand the scale of the two chemical and lubricant production facilities at ExxonMobil Oil Corporation in Louisiana. It is expected that the project will provide over 400 buildings and full-time positions within the next two years.

It is reported that the two plants are located in Baton Rouge (the capital of Louisiana state) and Allen Port. ExxonMobil Oil Company stated that the related construction activities of these two plants will be officially launched at the end of this year. It is expected that the expansion project will be officially completed in 2014, when the two production plants can add 45 full-time jobs. It is reported that the current total number of employees in these two production plants is 2,600.

ExxonMobil Oil Company stated that after the completion of the expansion project, the Baton Rouge production plant will become the world's largest lubricant product manufacturing plant. It is reported that lubricating oil is mainly used in automotive oil, gear oil, grease, aviation, marine and industrial lubricants. After the project is completed, the Baton Rouge production plant will replace ExxonMobil Oil's New Jersey production facility.

At present, Exxon Mobil Oil has more than 30 production plants. The expansion project at the Allan Port facility mainly includes an art fusion center.

Paul Stratford, Baton Rouge Production Plant Manager, said that in the past three years, ExxonMobil’s capital expenditure in Louisiana totaled more than 930 million U.S. dollars.

Louisiana officials stated that as early as 2009, Exxon Mobil Oil Corporation had already started an expansion project. In the next five years, Louisiana will provide Exxon Mobil with a tax allowance of US$1.8 million. (

  1. Elevator Traction Machine

While there is a wide range of elevators to fit every need, they fall under three basic types: machine-roomless, gearless traction and geared traction.

Traction elevators are the most common type of elevators. Elevator cars are pulled up by means of rolling steel ropes over a deeply grooved pulley, commonly called a sheave in the industry. The weight of the car is balanced by a counterweight. Sometimes two elevators are built so that their cars always move synchronously in opposite directions, and are each other's counterweight.
