Delfast Unveils More Details About Its New Electric Cargo Tricycle Designed for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs
Just under two months ago, Delfast made headlines by announcing the commencement of the design and development process for the Trike, a three-wheeled electric vehicle, as part of a grant received from the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine.
Today, the electric bike brand is revealing further technical details about this upcoming model. According to Delfast engineer Serhii Goncharov, the Trike features a fully developed electric frame equipped with a 750W rear motor and a 48V 40Ah lithium battery.
The Trike will also include Wellgo pedals, ProWheel crank, and headlights. One notable advantage of this electric vehicle is its complete waterproofing, making it easy to maintain and even wash without concern for damage.

Shown above is an image of the e-bike's frame that has undergone testing within the CAD system. While not a 3D model, this represents the actual construction of the future Trike, complete with specified materials and technologies. "We conduct simulations based on this frame, test various loads, determine the overall weight of the Trike, and mount other components of the e-bike onto the frame using the software," explains Goncharov. The engineering team is currently at the construction phase.
The good news doesn't stop there. The Trike will boast an impressive range of up to 120 kilometers (75 miles) on a single charge, making it an excellent transportation solution for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. The primary goal behind Delfast's development of the Trike is to assist small businesses in delivering goods to remote areas that are difficult for conventional vehicles to access.
Additionally, the Trike has a carrying capacity of up to 300 kilograms (660 pounds). Almost any type of cargo can be transported using this e-tricycle. Although speeds may not exceed legal limits in certain areas, the Trike can achieve a top speed of 40 kilometers per hour (25 miles per hour).
