During India's lockdown and worldwide, reduced vehicular usage led to a significant decrease in the emission of harmful gases like carbon dioxide. Consequently, many places witnessed clear, blue skies after decades.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has also highlighted pollution control as an excellent opportunity for the solar energy sector. Thanks to cleaner weather and reduced pollution, solar plant efficiency across the country surged during the lockdown, along with increased electricity production.
