SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., October 5, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — At Autodesk University, Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), has unveiled some groundbreaking new features across Autodesk Construction Cloud and significantly expanded its network of partners. These enhancements provide construction teams with new ways to seamlessly connect their workflows on a unified platform. The latest updates to Autodesk Build, particularly the introduction of a new Schedule management tool, further bridge the gap between office and field teams, ensuring that data flows smoothly throughout the construction lifecycle. Project teams now have the ability to integrate construction data from over 200 partners on Autodesk Construction Cloud, allowing for streamlined project management from a single, centralized hub.

“With the construction industry becoming increasingly digitalized, connecting project stakeholders and data is essential for fostering collaboration and gaining insights that give teams a competitive advantage,†said Sameer Merchant, vice president of product development at Autodesk Construction Solutions. “By consolidating data from various project workflows into a common data environment, team members can access the information they need exactly when they need it, empowering project leaders to make well-informed decisions. Since launching Autodesk Construction Cloud, our focus has been on connecting office and field teams, enabling smoother collaboration through a single source of truth. This year alone, we’ve introduced nearly 250 product innovations. These latest developments mark another significant milestone in connected construction.â€
**A New Schedule Tool Strengthens Project Management**
The new Schedule tool within Autodesk Build empowers teams to centralize their schedule management, working from the most up-to-date activities and milestones to ensure projects stay on track. Both office and field teams can instantly share digital schedules, collaborate on updates in real-time, and link documents, drawings, photos, issues, assets, RFIs, and submittals to their communications for reference. Teams can also filter and search their schedules and view them in either calendar or chart formats to monitor activity status in real time. Furthermore, Schedule integrates with the Cost tool in Autodesk Build, simplifying budgeting and planning for schedule-related expenses such as material handling and cleanup. This integration provides project-level data analysis, enabling teams to accurately predict cash flow.
“Distributing schedules across the team and ensuring everyone stays aligned is often a time-consuming task,†said Bryan Nuckolls, project manager at Boldt. “Traditional and siloed schedule management requires updating spreadsheets, exporting them as PDFs, and manually sending them out to the team. By automating schedule communication in Autodesk Build, we save valuable project time and keep everyone updated with the latest changes—all while staying within the same solution that holds all our critical project information.â€
**Recent Updates to Autodesk Build Include:**
- **Sheet Sharing Across Accounts:** Customers can now connect data across their entire project teams. By linking sheets across different accounts, teams can share the latest drawings with external members like owners and other contractors who require access but aren’t part of the primary project account.
- **Pype AutoSpecs Integration:** Pype AutoSpecs automatically generates submittal logs, improving efficiency, automation, and accuracy in the submittal process. Its integration with Autodesk Build allows teams to directly transfer draft submittals and entire logs into their project management system for simplified submittal management.
- **Microsoft Teams in Meetings:** Users can now set up Teams meetings directly within Autodesk Build without needing to switch between applications.
- **Data Extraction & Analysis:** Support for sheet, transmittal, and design review data extraction using Data Connector, along with new Power BI templates, enables teams to analyze and optimize document management workflows, enhancing design review processes.
- **As-Builts:** Teams can easily filter, find, and export all relevant as-built information such as drawings, RFIs, and submittals, and carry over links to other related documents like files or photos within Autodesk Build.
**Upcoming Features for Autodesk Build:**
- **Progress Tracking:** Teams will soon be able to track the percentage of work completed on their projects and quantify the materials installed to update plans accordingly.
- **Work Plan:** A new collaborative space based on BIM 360 Plan where teams can create roadmaps, track commitments, manage constraints, and view progress toward key performance metrics.
- **Closeout:** Automation of handover document collection and review workflows, supporting project lifecycle data management within Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- **Bridge:** A new collaboration capability that allows teams to share key project data between firms without revealing the entire project, giving each team control over their own project data archives.
**Expanded Integration Partner Ecosystem Streamlines Data Across Workflows**
