Ministry of Health: Zhang Lili still faces 1-2 debridement operations

On May 22, according to the Ministry of Health website, a few days ago, the National Expert Group of the Ministry of Health and the Harbin provincial expert team jointly performed debridement surgery for Zhang Lili. It is reported that during the surgery, the situation was better than expected, but Zhang Lili still faces Another 1-2 times of debridement may not be out of danger.

The national expert group and the provincial expert group decided on May 20th for the federation to make a debridement on Zhang Lili's lower limbs on May 21st. According to Zhang Mao’s instructions, the Ministry of Health dispatched Academician Lu Shizhen as the team leader. The fourth group of national expert experts formed by orthopaedics and anesthesia specialists rushed to Harbin on the morning of May 21 to guide and assist local Zhang Lili teacher in the operation.

At 13:00 on May 21, the expert group conducted consultations and preoperative discussions to clarify the anesthesia and surgical plans, and prepared a response plan for possible risks in the surgery. At 14:30, Zhang Lili’s teacher was sent to the operating room. The national expert group and the provincial expert team jointly performed debridement surgery for both lower limbs, performed stump cleaning and debridement, and performed external fixation on the left lower limb. Intraoperative findings revealed that there were few necrotic tissues, mainly poor local healing.

The surgery ended at 18:50 and the process went smoothly. Zhang Lili is currently in the intensive care unit and is in stable condition.

Experts believe that the situation found during the surgery was better than expected, but Zhang Lili’s teacher is still faced with the possibility of debridement surgery 1-2 times, still not out of danger.
